BOOK NOW

Saturday 7th March | 10:00am – 3:00pm

This Ayurvedic Day Retreat offers a nourishing pause to align with the rhythms of autumn, restore balance, and learn practical tools to support wellbeing through the seasonal shift.

Held within the peaceful surrounds of the Art Sanctuary, the day blends rest, learning, and shared nourishment to support both body and mind.

Facilitated by Neerja Ahuja - Ayurveda Practitioner | Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Director of Ayurveda Awareness Centre, Applecross.

What to Expect

Yoga Nidra for Seasonal Grounding
We begin with a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practice designed to calm the nervous system, anchor the body, and support deep rest during this time of change. This practice helps counterbalance the lightness and movement often felt in autumn.

Ayurvedic Teachings for Autumn Living
Gentle, accessible teachings explore how autumn affects the body and mind, with a focus on digestion, routine, warmth, and grounding practices. You’ll learn how to adjust daily rhythms, food choices, and self-care to stay balanced as the season unfolds.

Ayurvedic Cooking Demonstration
Experience a live cooking demonstration highlighting warming, seasonal foods that support digestive fire and nourish the body during autumn. Learn simple techniques you can carry into your home kitchen.

Shared Seasonal Lunch
Enjoy a freshly prepared Ayurvedic-inspired lunch, created to support digestion and balance during autumn. This shared meal is both nourishing and educational.

Integration & Time in Nature
The day includes spacious moments to rest, reflect, and connect with the land, allowing the teachings to integrate naturally.

Who This Retreat Is For

About your facilitator

Neerja Ahuja is an Ayurveda practitioner, educator, and founding Chair of Ayurveda at ANTA (Australian Natural Therapists Association).

Neerja’s work integrates Ayurveda, Yoga Nidra, and reflective practices to support people in living well through seasonal change. Her approach is practical, grounded, and deeply respectful of individual rhythm.

As we move into the season of autumn, nature invites us to slow down, ground, and turn inward. In Ayurveda, autumn is a time of transition, when the airy, mobile qualities of the season can affect digestion, sleep, and the nervous system if not gently supported.
