Code of Conduct Policy

The Art Sanctuary Foundation acknowledges the Whadjuk Noongar — the custodians of the Boodjar (country) on which we meet — as well as all other cultural custodians throughout Australia. We pay our humble respects to them and their cultures, and to elders both past and present.
Objective
To assist the Art Sanctuary Foundation in maintaining a harmonious and ethical work environment, which upholds the Art Sanctuary’s mission and values.
Application of this Code of Conduct
This Code of Conduct applies to all employees (including temporary employees), contractors, consultants, and volunteers of the Art Sanctuary Foundation.
Our Mission and Values
All people associated with the Art Sanctuary Foundation are expected to behave in ways aligned with our mission and values.
Mission
The Art Sanctuary Foundation cultivates a sacred space where art, wellness, nature and compassion converge — empowering personal growth, fostering creative expression, caring for animals and the land, and building a global community rooted in respect and healing.
Values
Our values guide how we work, interact, and make decisions. They underpin the culture of the Art Sanctuary and are reflected in our expectations of all who engage with us — staff, partners, visitors, and supporters:
  • Respect: We treat all beings, including people, animals, and the environment, with dignity, compassion, and care.
  • Caring: We nurture with kindness and empathy, supporting the wellbeing of individuals, animals, and the land entrusted to us.
  • Honesty: We act truthfully and openly in our relationships, communication, and stewardship of resources.
  • Integrity: We uphold the highest ethical standards and do what is right, even when it is difficult.
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and decisions, and are transparent with our community and supporters.
  • Reliability: We are consistent and dependable in how we care for people, animals, and the land, and in how we deliver on our commitments.
  • Curiosity: We remain open to learning, exploring new ideas, and growing through art, culture, and nature.
Policy
The Code of Conduct sets out the expected standard of behaviour of all staff of the Art Sanctuary Foundation.
The Code and its outlined behaviours are fundamental to building healthy, positive, and respectful relationships with our community. It governs how all people at the Foundation are expected to relate to one another, external professionals, clients, visitors, and stakeholders.
The Code of Conduct is not intended to be exhaustive; rather, it provides a broad framework to guide conduct and behaviour in the performance of duties and interactions in the workplace.

  • Be punctual.

  • Provide assistance to staff when required.
  • Follow all lawful and reasonable directions given by the Foundation.
